(NASDAQ: ITRI), which is innovating new ways for utilities and cities to manage energy and water, announced the integration of Itron’s Intelligent Connectivity suite with FirstNet^®, Built with AT&T, the only nationwide, high-speed broadband communications platform dedicated to and purpose-built for America’s first responders and the extended public safety community. Itron has completed integrating an initial round of cellular-enabled products with FirstNet, with more to come. Itron’s participation in the FirstNet Embedded IoT Program further enhances the reliability and resiliency of Itron’s network offering, providing priority access for utility and city critical infrastructure communications and applications.

The FirstNet Embedded IoT Program works with trusted companies leading the industry with public safety solutions.
